Meet the H.O.M.M. Owner
House of Mixed Media, LLC was founded by resident artist and designer Brian O'Rourke, a professional artist, photographer, and interior design enthusiast for almost two decades.
O'Rourke specializes in contemporary and transitional interior decor and sourcing, as well as original abstract acrylic paintings and fine art photography. His work has been sold through well-known furniture stores, established galleries, and to private collectors throughout the world. It has been featured in interior design and photography magazines, as well as on the pilot episode of "Sacred Spaces," with host and HGTV personality Cary Weldy.
In 2011, O'Rourke launched a wildly successful limited-edition line of women's handbags and accessories featuring his most popular painting designs. The line received immediate praise from celebrities, especially cast members of Bravo TV network's "Real Housewives," franchise. In 2013, O'Rourke expanded his line to include men's accessories and home accessories.
Today, O'Rourke's original paintings and fine art photography are available though the Virgil Catherine Gallery in Hinsdale, IL, as well as House of Mixed Media, LLC.
A life-long resident of the Chicago suburbs, O'Rourke's design inspiration comes from both classic and contemporary architecture throughout the city of Chicago, its affluent suburbs, as well as his international travels.
